Hot tub

The 9-person hot tub is kept hot and ready. You only need the cover, the lights and the jets.

Using the hot tub

70 seconds, with captions

  1. Open the cover with two people, one on each side. Lift together on three; it folds back two more times.
  2. The water stays at 102°F. There is no need to change the temperature.
  3. Press the light button to turn the light on. Press again to change or turn it off.
  4. Press the jets button once for the first jet, again for the second and third. Keep pressing to turn them off.
  5. Please leave the button with the bars alone, and put the cover back on when you're done.
Closing the cover keeps the water hot and clean for the next soak.

Sauna

The massive top-of-the-line sauna takes about two hours to reach 150°F, so start it before dinner.

Heating the sauna

65 seconds, with captions

  1. Find the controller on the wall inside the sauna.
  2. Set the temperature to 150°F. The large number shows how warm the room is right now.
  3. Gently push the dial in. The steam icon means the stove is heating.
  4. Allow about two hours for the sauna to be ready.
  5. To turn it off, push the dial in again.
The front room is for sitting, drinks and cooling down between rounds.

Lights and controls

55 seconds, with captions

  1. Three switches: the outside light, the inside light, and the light in the sauna room.
  2. Click the controller once to see the set temperature and the current temperature.
  3. Set 150°F and gently push the dial in to start heating.

Getting to the lower level

Use the garage, from inside the house

The back entrance door to the lower level is usually kept locked. Please don't use it to come and go.

  1. Come into the house through the main entrance.
  2. Go through the garage from inside the house.
  3. That's the way into the lower level, any time of day.
